Our vitamin B12 contains a combination of methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin. These forms of B12 don't need to be converted in the stomach, so your body can use them immediately.
If you eat a lot of plant-based foods or are vegan, you need a vitamin B12 supplement. Vitamin B12 is, unfortunately, only sufficiently present in animal-based products such as eggs, dairy and meats.
A few lozenges a week will be sufficient to reach recommended you weekly B12 dosage. Though if you want to ensure you get ample vitamin B12 you can also take one daily.
